Controller Harten & Capt. Sullenberger Speak to Congress (19.73MB; download) -- On February 24, 2009, just over a month after the January 15, 2009 ditching of US Airways Flight 1549, the House Aviation Subcommittee heard from air traffic controller Patrick Harten about his experience on the day Flight 1549 ditched in the Hudson River. The panel also heard from Capt. Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger, who warned the panel that the airline industry is in trouble and reminded them that the best safety gear for an airplane is an experienced crew. NATCA Disputes NTSB Version of Hudson Collision (6.41MB; download) -- The National Air Traffic Controllers Association says the NTSB has made a big mistake in its early assessment of the midair collision between a Piper Saratoga and a sightseeing helicopter over the Hudson River on August 8.
