Add this to another station Career-Op: Entrepreneurs - March 18, 2005 (5.57MB; download) -- What is an entrepreneur? How do you become one? Is it worth the time, energy and aggravation? Recently, Rob Spahitz, a reader of this column, posted to a discussion on the Career-Op mailing list. In his message he said, How about an article on what's required to be a good entrepreneur? An excellent idea, I thought, except that my own experience doesn't follow what most would consider an entrepreneurial direction. I don't have great designs on owning a large company with lots of employees and millions of dollars in gross earnings, but I do think there is a different side to the entrepreneur story than what we typically see in the papers. Rob's question started me thinking more deeply about entrepreneurship, what it means to me and what it might mean to you. (Continued) MP3 via Coral | MP3 direct from WelchWrite.com

Add this to another station Reaching More Readers Over and Over (1.50MB; download) -- For Web publishers of all sizes, from bloggers to media outlets, getting the word out about what youve written is a continual challenge. A few stories syndicated to a big portal site like MSN or Yahoo may be all it takes to take an audience of 2 and turn it into an audience of 2 million. The syndication gateway for many of the bigger sites is Moreover.com. The good news is, you dont have to be a big media outlet for Moreover to pick up your content and syndicate it to partner sites - all you need to do is write compelling stuff. Of course, you also need to let Moreover know youve written something by pinging their server, but thats a trivial matter in the land of Pingomatic. At SES we caught up with Jim Pitkow of Moreover to talk about their role in the content syndication landscape.Listen to Jim Pitkow in WMA Listen to Jim Pitkow in MP3
