God, who knows all things, can and does choose to forget. God does not remember our sins when we turn to him. Does he fail to recall the wrongs we have done? Is there a lapse in one who knows what has been, what is, and what will be? That is not the case at all. God chooses not to reference or to entertain these pass events.

Like the twists and turns of an action movie the book of Jeremiah paints a picture of suspense, hope, hope dashed to the ground, and foreshadowing of times to come. The reader almost want to yell out the Babylonians are coming, stop, change, listen to the prophet.
