Add this to another station Don Woods and Brazil Exit World Cup (24.74MB; download) -- Track 6 on my CD (Doowop Pioneers)was an idea to educate the world as to what is actually Doowop...it originally began on street corners in the U.S.A. whereby a group of guys would congregate and harmonise...similar to our barbershop...and it developed into those great 50's classics such as Blue Moon...Teenager In Love...Why Do Fools Fall In Love...etc...this song is a tribute to them. ….O.K. Brazil took a hammering in the World Cup...but if you went by the headlines you'd think it was the end of the world......the country was "HUMILIATED...SHAMED....DISGRACED...." and people in the street crying....it's a FOOTBALL MATCH!!...that's all...surely there are other things to think about?...mind you to stand alongside thousands of people overnight to see a bunch of cyclists fly past for 11 seconds....I begin to wonder whether some people actually have a life. ...The news is full of the "missing" documents regarding child sexual abuse....when you watch the media's re-action you would think that the country is run by a load of perverts...what is it with these people? Mind you I would think there will be a few quaking in their boots. ....The Open Golf is at Hoylake a again next week....already the road signs are up and there is talk of a big hotel complex being built...amazing how they find the money for these big events and yet the public sector gets told there will have to be cuts....and they will have to work until 68...so they go on strike - which will have no effect. .....Obviously there is so little news the BBC have to let us know AGAIN that we are the most obese nation in the Universe...."scientists" have studied this and that and have come up with this amazing conclusion which helps fill 20 minutes of BORING BBC news...I personally don't care...I keep myself fit which is easy to do if you are prepared to put in a bit of EFFORT...something these blobs don't seem to be able to do... their problem - not mine...and I don't want to hear about it on the news every day. …. Don't Forget….Don's been working on a doowop song for a new friend in the States….His name is Doowop Joe Conroy and he has a internet radio station in North Carolina...he checked out Don's website and noticed Don writes novelty songs. He asked Don to write one about all the doowop groups….….the song is called “DooWop Days” and can be found on YouTube……PLUS...Don's got a new CD out called the Doo Wop Days.

Add this to another station Sexism in Handball (69.01MB; download) -- Iberia has opened redundancy talks which will affect up to 1,581 employees. It will be voluntary and the definitive number affected will depend on who wants to accept it. It has already been debated with the unions in April. Barcelona is set to ban booze cruises offering to get tourists s*** faced. The Catalan city has already banned land-based bar crawls, now it is targeting a company offering three-hour alcohol-fuelled boat trips. Spanish women are angry about European handball rules that force female players to wear skimpy bikinis accusing sports officials of using their bodies to "lure people to the sport". Under regulations set by the European Handball Federation, female beach handball players have to wear bikini tops and bottoms that are no wider than four inches (10cm) "to leave their stomachs exposed". A Briton tells us about the moment he was almost crushed by bulls at the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona. Tom Hadfield, 23, fell while being chased by six bulls in Pamplona and was trampled, breaking four ribs, two of which pierced his lung.....and the co-author of a recently-published book on how to survive the annual bull-running San Fermín festival, was himself gored on Wednesday morning, fellow writer John Hemingway said. Mr Hemingway, a grandson of the Nobel Prize-Winning American novelist Ernest Hemingway, who made the festival world-famous in his 1926 novel The Sun Also Rises, and "Buffalo" Bill Hillman, are two out of ten contributors to Fiesta: How to Survive the Bulls of Pamplona. Chicago resident Mr Hillman, 32, was gored twice in his right thigh. The big news from The UK is that 'We have seen appalling cases of organised and persistent child sex abuse': Home Secretary, Theresa May, has ordered a wide-ranging inquiry into every part of British society. The Home Secretary said a panel of experts will examine how public bodies and private institutions failed in the their duty protect children from 'disgusting crimes'. Passengers must prove phones and laptops work before boarding planes as Ministers announced that checks on mobile phones and other electronic devices that had been limited to passengers flying from the UK to the U.S. would now be massively expanded. Scientists at the University of California found in the last 20 years activity levels have fallen dramatically as average body mass index (BMI) has risen.Lack of exercise is to blame for bulging waistlines and obesity epidemic NOT eating more calories. I wonder who sponsored this research?
